The Velotric Discover 2 has received a big update, relative to the Discover 1. Leading the way is a more powerful 750W brushless, geared hub motor that produces 75Nm of torque, ‘SensorSwap Technology’ that allows a rider to switch from a Torque Sensor to a Cadence Sensor, and cruise control.
The frame now comes in two sizes (regular, large) to fit a broader range of riders.
Feeding that motor is a 706Wh battery that Velotric says can give riders as much as 75 mi. of range.
The Discover 1 was a bit ahead of the curve with a battery certified to UL 2271. The Discover 2 upgrades that with full UL certification (2849) for the entire e-bike. Other upgrades include an 8-speed drivetrain, a torque sensor and quick-rolling 27.5-in. wheels.
